A lot of the issues you mention are related to the fact that we are currently at the same time moving from svn to git, moving all the repositories and the continuous integration system to new servers, and same time moving our servers to a new building --very brave! As a result we are not generating daily releases during the move and fixes are thus not being reflected. Persistent Database

I'm looking for a persistent database system for Ciao. DHT seems to be much more complex than what I need and using the internal database and assert is not quite enough. I'd like a system that at least can keep terms dynamically sorted. Any ideas? Emacs for v. 1.15

I've installed v. 1.15 from source on Ubuntu 12.04. The install did not add any env vars and did not include anything in the .emacs file. I edited .bashrc and used absolute file paths and got some env vars but not CIAOLIBDIR. Also, ciao-mode-init.el does not exist (nor any other file with ciao-mode-init). Should I be using 1.14? I've done ciaoconfig build, install and user install and most stuff works, but emacs won't recognize Ciao. Hi, ¿Is it possible to generate a library (i.e .so in linux) with ciaoc? I would like to call ciao predicates from python using ctypes, and a .so library is needed. Thank you, Regards Javier

foreign interface examples

Hello all, I'm getting started with ciao and tried the following: ciaoc -c test_all.pl in lib/foreign_interface/examples. Then I got the message: ERROR: (lns 1-1) Declaration package/1 not starting file, probably a package is being included as a raw file ¿ Which may be the cause ? I've been looking inside the manual (ciaoc and foreign interface sections) but surely I'm missing something. S.O is Ubuntu 11.10, and I built ciao current stable version from source. (Succesfully, I think. Just missing ciaopp although I configured it to compile). Cheers Javier

Windows Yapp DLLs

Hi, I know there were posts about this years ago. Can Windows applications call functions in the Yap.dll, dynamically? If so, which of the docs discusses this. There's the C Language Interface to Yap, in the main doc. Is there anything else, perhaps examples of languages other than C?

op/3 Question

I am defining a operator => in a package. My package uses a module that indirectly uses another package that defines the same operator, i.e. "foreign_interface" uses package "assertions". I need a different priority, but I am worried about conflicts or interference between the two? What is the scope of a call to op/3? Does it affect only the package it is in or does the last op/3 called for an operator supersede any previous call regardless of package? If it is the latter, I need to use a different operator. I would rather use : but I was worried about conflicts there too.
