I've tried both:

"You need to subscribe during the download process, or by sending an ascii message containing in the body the word subscribe alone in one line to ciao-users-request(a)clip.dia.fi.upm.es. "

With no sucsess. My tries via email result in:

"Sorry, an error has occurred while processing your request The caretaker of Majordomo ( Majordomo-Ow...(a)clip.dia.fi.upm.es ) has= been notified of the problem. "

But no answer over a period of many days.

A post to comp.lang.prolog has resulted in a post from someone else who has had the same problem. Yet checking the archives shows that the list is alive.

Is there a way to subscribe?
