Dear Ciao Prolog users:
a fellow user, Justin W Walsh <justinwalsh_99(a)hotmail.com>, asked:
Could you possibly direct me to some actual examples of Applications that have been successfully been developed using CIAO prolog.
At our development site we could cite, for example, the Ciao Prolog compiler itself, the Ciao Prolog toplevel shell, the Ciao auto-documenter LPdoc, and a number of other utilities (for example, the list of publications by year and topic at http://www.clip.dia.fi.upm.es/clippubsbyyear/clippubsbyyear.html and http://www.clip.dia.fi.upm.es/clippubsbytopic/clippubsbytopic.html , which is automatically generated from bibtex sources).
But we, and surely others, would be pleased of hearing of developments being made using Ciao Prolog. In order not to clutter up everyone's mailbox with messages, I suggest that anybody who wants to contribute to that compilation send a short note to me or to ciao(a)clip.dia.fi.upm.es describing the work you are doing; we'll summarize and send out a list. If you include a WWW pointer, that'll allow us to make a nice WWW-browsable list.
If you do not want to appear listed, but you are using Ciao Prolog for any development, we'll be glad of hearing from you. Simply tell us not to include you in the list. Of course, we will not reveal in any case email addresses unless they appear as contact addresses in the software descriptions.
Best regards,
MCL
