I just downloaded the binary distribution for Ciao on Win32 (1.7p162)... looks great! However, I have a problem with getting it to work under Xemacs (version 21.4 - not specifically a Cygwin version). My first problem was some errors that cropped up with the DOTemacs.el file. Xemacs didn't like the lines:
(global-font-lock-mode) (transient-mark-mode t)
I commented both out and it loaded without error. Syntax colouring works fine when viewing .pl files.
The main problem I have is that when I try and run ciao under emacs (for example by selecting "(Re)start ciao top level" in the emacs menu), the resulting listener buffer doesn't give me a prompt. If I type anything into the buffer, I get the error: "Marker does not point anywhere".
Any tips?
Thanks, Simon
