Did you get to try compiling Ciao in 32-bit mode? We would certainly be interested in the patch! Cheers -- Manuel
I tried to comment out the assertions: no luck. Also I tried to find out what switch I needed to compile in 32-bit mode, but could not find it anywhere in the documentation (perhaps I looked in the wrong place).
Perhaps you could get a login account on our alpha/linux machine for a few days or so; however that would have to wait until our sys.adm. is back from his trip to Japan. Let me know if that would suit your, connection might be slow though...
