This works for me:
?- X = member(Z, [1,2,3,4]), Y = member(Z, [2,4,6,8]), findall(Z, (X, Y), L).
L = [2,4], X = member(Z,[1,2,3,4]), Y = member(Z,[2,4,6,8]) ?
