Dear Mihai,
My name is Mihai Mudure and I am a student of the TechicalUniversity in Cluj-Napoca,Romania. I recently came across the Pillow Library which I found very interesting and extremely useful for me. However, I have encountered a few problems trying to use it. First of all, I tried to run the examples that you gave in the library documentation. When I tried to run the example with the phone database I received the error message "Existence error : procedure popen('echo $REQUEST_METHOD',read,_40) does not exist". I couldn't find any reference on this procedure in the Sicstus Prolog help nor in the library documentation. When I tried to run the check links example ( the example that checks a web site for bad links ) I received the error message "Existence error : socket('AF_INET',_40) : procedure pillow:socket/2 does not exist". I kept receiving this error message even after I used :-use_module(library(sockets)).
It seems that you are using the html.pl file which goes with the distribution, or that you have not changed the variable SYSTEM in the Makefile file to be sicstus3 previous to run 'make'. Please read the file README of the distribution which explains the procedure to generate pillow.pl and html.pl to suit your needs.
If you could help me on any of these problems I would very muchappreciate it. I would also like to know if you have updated documentation for the Pillow Library (and where I could find it). I would also like to know if you are planning to create a library that would run under Windows 95 OS.
The last available documentation about PiLLoW is in the URL http://www.clip.dia.fi.upm.es/Software/pillow/pillow.html Respect the other question, is more an issue of the Prolog system on which PiLLoW runs than a problem of PiLLoW (I believe).
Best wishes,
