Still no luck with Xemacs. I'm not worried about that as there seems very little difference on the openSUSE platform between the 2 apps.
Right. Although we used to keep things up to date with xemacs we have not been checking much lately... It seems that standard emacs development has essentially outrun the development of xemacs and the vast majority of people use GNU emacs nowadays. If there are still users of Ciao under xemacs out there please let us know!
I gather that Aquamacs is not quite kosher in that it conforms to Apple Mac conventions more than GNU emacs. Any comments?
While we know of a number of users which use Aquamacs successfully with Ciao, the kosher thing is indeed to use the "real" emacs. You can get e.g., the port from macports or fink, or, easiest, simply install the very nice distros from:
