Hi, I'm new to Ciao-prolog and I'm trying to use emacs 24.5 to edit my .pl file. But the ciao mode is not shown at all. I installed the CiaoDE 1.14.2 on Ubuntu, with emacs 24.5. I put (if (file-exists-p "~/Downloads/Ciao/emacs-mode/ciao-mode-init.el") (load-file "~/Downloads/Ciao/emacs-mode/ciao-mode-init.el") ) but it doesn't work.. Please help me to install the ciao mode correctly, I'll appreciate it! Best Regards, Xiao
Dear Xiao,
Apologies for the late answer. Are you installing from source or from binary distribution? Which version of Ubuntu are you using? We recommend using the 1.15 version (development). If you still have problems we can give access to the release candidate for the next version, which works fine in recent Ubuntu versions.
